Winter Hiking - The Schönachtal

We cross the bridge at Gasthof Oberwirt and then follow the road to the right to the entrance of the Schönachtal Valley. This is where the path begins its gentle rise. After a short break at Stinkmoosalm pasture, where there is a wonderful view of the end of the valley with the Schönachkees Glacier (3,000 m), you can reach the snack-bar at Lackenalm pasture (1,400 m) in about 1 hour.
