Mountain-Wellness & Gerlos Sheep Drive
Homecoming from the alpine pasture! In the early morning the shepards get on their way back home to Gerlos with their herd of sheep. It is a great spectacle when the sheep are divided into the different corrals of the various farmers and be shorn afterwards by a sheepshearer from Wales (GB). It takes him about 2 minutes to shear one sheep. The homecoming of the shepherds and sheep is celebrated traditionally with a great village festival.
